Who can receive the Extreme Channel on Freeview?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Most new televisions and set top boxes (STBs) can receive the service. Extreme on Freeview is delivered to viewers via the internet; so first connect your TV or set top box to the internet, then navigate to channel 271 and you should find Extreme. The channel does take a few seconds to start so please don\u2019t worry it doesn\u2019t come to life right away. If you can see the channel name EXTREME CHANNEL when you select 281 you should be able to watch the channel.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What if I can\u2019t see the channel name?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

First do an auto scan for channels. If you still can\u2019t see the channel after that, try switching your TV or STB off at the plug for 10 seconds and try again.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How do I connect my TV to the internet?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
\n

Go into the settings of your TV and find \u2018Network\u2019, then select your WiFi and enter the password to connect. Alternatively, some TVs can be cabled directly into your router.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Most modern TVs can connect to the internet, check the settings of the TV and look for \u2018Network\u2019 or similar. Also, some TVs come with a sticker that says \u201cFreeview Play Ready\u201d, which means it is definitely able to connect to the internet.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I have a YouView STB<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, YouView isn\u2019t compatible with Extreme at the moment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How can I tell if my device is compatible with the service?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, some older TVs can connect to the internet but don\u2019t run the right technology to be compatible. If you are a real tech guru then you need to find out if your TV is HbbTV compatible, which is the technology used to launch the service. Also, some TVs come with a sticker that says \u201cFreeview Play Ready\u201d, which means it is definitely able to connect to Encore.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I still can’t find the channel, what should I do? <\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
